Pothole Blitz
Oh, these roads! How many times have you "wished they would fix the roads"? Well, your Whitehall Homeowner's Association is working with the county to prioritize some of our roads that are most in need of work.

But really, any of us can request a repair. The only tricky part is figuring out which agency to ask. Many Whitehall roads are maintained by Lexington County, and some are maintained by the SC Department of Transportation (SCDOT).

How do you find out who "owns" your road, and how do you put in a repair request?

SCDOT's "Pothole Blitz" web page at https://www.scdot.org/pothole.html has nearly every road in the state, and it can tell you whether your road is state-maintained.
  • If so, you're already in the right place to lodge a repair request.
Lexington County's Public Works Department web page at https://lex-co.sc.gov/departments/public-works is where to make your repair request if the road is not state-maintained.
  • Click Public Works Online Service Request to lodge your repair request.
